Terms of Service

DRAFT. This text is a starting point written for the launch team. Have a Ugandan lawyer review it and fill in the company details before you go live.

These terms are an agreement between you and Eduscape Systems [registered address, Uganda; add your registration number], trading as EduAdverts ("EduAdverts", "we"). By creating an account you agree to them.

1. The service

EduAdverts helps businesses and institutions create social-media graphics and captions using templates and AI. You download or share the results and publish them yourself. We do not post to your accounts without your action.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract for your business or organisation. Keep your password private and tell us if you think someone else has access. You are responsible for activity on your account.

3. Your content and your responsibility

• You own the text, logos and photos you upload and the posts you create. You give us permission to store and process them only to run the service for you.
• Only upload logos and photos you have the right to use.
• AI-written text can contain mistakes. You must check every price, date, phone number, claim and name before you publish. You are responsible for what you post.
• Do not use EduAdverts for anything illegal, misleading, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or that infringes someone else's rights, and do not make false health, financial or other promises to customers.

4. Plans and payment

The Free plan has monthly limits on AI posts and saved posts. Paid plans (Starter, Pro) are paid in Uganda shillings, currently by MTN MoMo or Airtel Money, and run for the period we confirm to you. Monthly AI limits reset at the start of each calendar month and do not roll over. Unless required by law, payments for a period already started are not refundable. We may change prices with notice before your next period.

5. Platform rules

Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, YouTube and other platforms have their own rules. You must follow them. EduAdverts is not affiliated with or endorsed by those companies.

6. Availability

We work to keep EduAdverts running but cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. We may add, change or remove features.

7. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in the app. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or abuse the service.

8. Limits of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by Ugandan law, the service is provided "as is", and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, or for content you publish. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Uganda, and the courts of Uganda have jurisdiction.

10. Changes and contact
